STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math, and each week STEAMers explore these different disciplines to complete different challenges and projects. We’ll use resources like Crazy 8s Math, Code.org, Minecraft, Photoshop, and the Makers’ Space, to name a few! What can you create?
LEGO Masters
1st & 3rd Tuesdays, 5:30-6:30pm
Your imagination is the only limit in this creative club devoted to building with Legos. Every other week a new challenge will help builders to expand their minds and hone their engineering skills with the best builds of the week put on display in the library's Maker Space! What will you make?
Crazy 8s Math (grades 3-5)
Grades 3-5, Mondays at 4pm, starting Jan. 27
“Crazy 8s is an over-the-top recreational after-school club that gets kids excited about math. You'll build glow-in-the-dark structures, crack secret spy codes, and play get-up-and-move games like Toilet Paper Olympics.” Part 2 of the Crazy 8s club is 8 weeks long and will begin in February. It is not necessary to have participated in Part 1 of the program to enjoy the fun this spring!
